“Better than [talk] Therapy?” EMDR with a certified therapist is easy to access in the Bay Area

I had to add my editorial comment to the actual title of an article just published by Harper’s Bazaar.  EMDR is therapy. I consider it a quantum leap ahead of usual talk therapy.

The author, Alix Strauss, discovered EMDR by accident, it seems.  She is convinced of the value of it even though she doesn’t quite fully understand it.  Often people respond that way.  They can’t believe that something that has kept them depressed or stuck for months, years or decades could resolve so quickly.

Alix shares that the developer of EMDR, Francine Shapiro is from California, but doesn’t mention that she’s from the Bay Area!  Dr. Shapiro is a Senior Research Fellow at the Mental Research Institute in Palo Alto.

Please check out the Bazaar article, which posted on March 16.   I’d love it if you come back here to comment about it.

We have many Certified EMDR therapists in the Bay Area available to help.  If you would like to check out the Comprehensive Therapy Approach called EMDR, please call them from this Bay Area EMDR Directory.
